This piece is all about sparkle and shine.
I love the pale purple of the Amethyst and the strong pinky colour of the Tourmaline bead.
I frequently use beads or buttons in a piece. You can wrap almost anything in a bezel.

Drusy cabochons are mostly cut out of the center of the geode, which has a chamber or hollow space. The walls of this hollow space are covered with tiny sparkling crystals.

 

About the Stone

Amethyst occurs in primary hues form light pinkish violet to deep purple.

Fun Fact: Apparently the largest amethyst mine in North America is located in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
