Orange & Purple Silver Pendant
This vibrant pendant skillfully balances purple and orange. The centre crystal draws from both elements and balances the whole piece giving it a whimsical, talismanic feel. Lively spirals on the back give you a little secret decorative element.
I find myself drawn to complementary colour combinations. These are colours that are found directly across from one another on a basic colour wheel. Purple and orange are an excellent example of this as are green and orange.
About the Stone
Apparently, Charoite comes from the Yakutia region of Siberia. It was first discovered in the 1940s but not described until 1978. It is named for the Chara River where the initial deposits were found.
Spondylus shell is a bivalve, yes a sea shell used and valued for thousands of years by Indigenous peoples in both ritual and ornamentation.
