Rectangular in shape, this stone has beautiful, vibrant shades of blue and the hallmark black matrix that identify it as Chinese Turquoise. Set in a textured, matte black, silver pendant it positively glows on a 22 inch long strand of lapis lazuli, turquoise, and coral beads.
China has been a source of turquoise for 3,000 years or more. And whether it comes from Bisbee, Arizona or China, turquoise has been prized by cultures around the world for over 5,000 years.
Most of China’s turquoise is mined from the Hubei Province and from the Ma’anshan Mine near Shanghai.
